Shazam Partners with Vadio to bring life back to music.
Recently, Shazam Partners with Vadio , the note app for music recognition, has celebrated an important milestone: it has reached one billion downloads ranking as Europe’s first app to reach this threshold. And, with its 123 million monthly active users, continues to strengthen its leadership in the digital music market, contributing to 9% of digital music sales on a global scale.

Today, users of Shazam, thanks to a close partnership with just Vadio , can take advantage of a new feature that will make it more interactive and satisfying user experience, namely, access to new channels dedicated to music videos.

In turn, this creates new revenue opportunities for artists and, nevertheless, a great opportunity for visibility for the brand. ”
Vadio , hybrid name that comes from the mix of the words ‘video’ and ‘radio’, can lead music videos at any destination, including desktop, mobile or smart TV. When a user identifies a song with Shazam, a thumbnail of the music video of the song appears on the page. The user can click on the thumbnail to see the video to play, and also another list of relevant videos proposed by Vadio.
From the moment the user will interact with the Shazam app icon to begin the recognition of the song, it will manifest, in fact, a thumbnail with music video (generally official) associated with the song, precisely within the page the song available within the Shazam database: reproduction, however, does not start automatically.
“Shazam is the destination of choice for music discovery,” said Bryce Clemmer , co-founder and CEO of Vadio. “By incorporating high quality video in Shazam, brands and artists can visually tell their stories to a global audience and in a way that did not exist on that, no doubt, is to be considered a major destination for fans of music”.

According to information from the Shazam Partners, the new feature is already available for about half of the user base but within a few weeks is expected to be extended to all.
